Ok. So Black Entertainment Television is hosting an article postulating that global warming is bad news for black folks. Moreso, apparently, than white folks. The article goes on to inform us of a statistic so crazy on it’s face that it can only be true:

“Relatively, Blacks are environmental Good Samaritans. Per capita, we emit approximately 20% less carbon dioxide than Whites - well below 2020 targets set by the U.S. climate stewardship act. Not only do we use more energy-conserving public transportation, we spend considerably less per capita on energy-intensive material goods.”

I thought about that for awhile, and suddenly had a flash of insight: It’s gotta be hard to rack up the miles on the old Escalade when your dudes are eight times more likely to be in prison than us walking-environmental-disaster white people.

Wouldn’t that make a great bumper sticker? “Save a tree. Go to jail!”
