Yesterday, while chatting with my buddies in IRC, Matt Drudge helped break a story about Cindy Sheehan, America’s favorite Stalinist, receiving a congressional invitation to the State of the Union address.

My reaction to this news in IRC was thus: “Huh. Maybe Sirhan Sirhan’s invitation got lost in the mail.” I mean, the idea of bringing a communist seditionist into the halls of Congress, to me, is akin to allowing a syphilitic leper to perform neurosurgery on me - unappealing, to say the least. Ms. Sheehan promised to be on her best behavior, of course, as her invitation came via Lynn Woolsey, a California Dummycrat legislator. In her own words:

““I knew George Bush would say things that would hurt me and anger me and I knew that I couldn’t disrupt the address because Lynn had given me the ticket,” Sheehan wrote. “I didn’t want to be disruptive out of respect for her.”

Of course, her idea of being undisruptive was to remove her coat to prominently display a t-shirt emblazoned with an anti-war slogan.

Arrested again, well done. Is there anything you won’t do for attention? How about a Tijuana donkey show?

While most of her mainstream Dummycrat supporters have fled her PR trail as if it were a crackhouse raid, the mainstream press continues to be strangely fascinated by her antics. Even when her sympathies are shown to favor communist dictators, the media simply can’t admit it’s got a nut on it’s hands and let her go.

“Hugo Chavez, an arm around Sheehan’s shoulders, told a group of activists that she had told him “she is going to put up her tent again in front of Mr. Danger’s ranch” in April.

“Enough already with the imperialist aggression!” Chavez said, listing countries from Panama to Iraq where the U.S. military has intervened. “Down with the U.S. empire! It must be said, in the entire world: Down with the empire!”

Now, I’m no lawyer, but consorting with dictators who chant “Down with America!” sounds like an awfully close brush with treason, to these ears. Consider the definision of sedition, courtesy of dictionary.com:

1.Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state.
2.Insurrection; rebellion.

And again…

“Down with the U.S. empire! It must be said, in the entire world: Down with the empire!”

Of course, in today’s Hilton/Lohan culture, no behavior is too outrageous if it results in a great photo op. Bearing that in mind, I have a couple more good photo ops in mind for Ms. Sheehan:

In all seriousness, as angry as shit like this makes me, anyone who identifies themselves as “conservative” should get down on their knees each day and thank any god that will listen for people like Cindy Sheehan. In them, Dummycrat America has met it’s political doom.
